Notes
What you see
A strip at the top cycles through the day's offers. The first screen is red, with a food photograph, the large line "Toutes les raisons sont bonnes" and "PIZZA DÉLICE DEPUIS 1970". Four buttons stay at the bottom of the screen throughout: visit, book, order online and gift card.
The page continues with the menus, six weekly offers (happy hour, lunch specials, half-price wine on Thursdays, 20% off takeaway on Wednesdays and more), four numbers — 160 staff, founded 1970, 700 seats inside, 300 on the terrace — upcoming live bands, private rooms, and ten job openings with hourly pay and an application form. The footer lists hours by service and day, and shows whether the restaurant is open right now.
What to take from it
Almost everyone visiting a restaurant site wants to book, order, find the place or buy a voucher. Keeping those four actions on screen means nobody has to hunt for them.
Weekly offers give people a reason to choose a day. Splitting opening hours by dining room, bar, takeaway and delivery answers the question people actually have, and putting jobs with pay on the same site recruits staff as well as guests.
