DevNJ Make your business ease

devnj about --whoami

( who you would be working with )

The person who builds it is the person who runs it.

DevNJ is based in The Hague and builds websites in English and Japanese, then keeps running them after launch. People decide; AI does the work that repeats every month. Fewer hand-offs is the whole reason it stays fast and consistent.

Track record

( by the numbers )

Rankings are not the point.
Business numbers are.

A record of the projects our founder has worked on. Media built from nothing, online shop revenue, digitalisation for a regional business. Different sectors, different sizes — the thing being watched is always the business number.

  • 0 M PV

    Monthly media reach

    Built and produced from nothing

  • 0 M JPY

    Food manufacturer, monthly shop revenue

Organic traffic doubled, growth held at +120%

  • 0 .5M PV

    B2B media turnaround

From 600K to an average of 1.5M PV within a year

  • 0 %

    Hotel bookings, year on year

Digitalisation and OTA tuning for a regional hotel

Profile

( the founder )

Keisuke Takenouchi

竹ノ内 啓輔

Web planner & director

I built a B2B web publication end to end — the platform, the writing, the content marketing and the business plan behind it. That publication was later spun out into its own company and runs on its own today. Having taken one thing from nothing to scale is the foundation everything else sits on.

On the content side, a team of three writers and two years took it to three million page views a month. That meant keyword strategy and analysis, but also training writers who had never done the job before. My career started in e-commerce, so building and running shops on Rakuten, Amazon, Yahoo! and EC-CUBE — and reading the numbers afterwards — is familiar ground.

I now work from the Netherlands, building sites in English and Japanese. A European reader and a Japanese reader want the same facts, but in a different order. So whether you are a company here that wants to be taken seriously in Japan, or one that simply wants both languages handled properly, the work starts at structure rather than at translation.

Output

( what comes out of it )

Not just words
on a page.

Articles, images, video, and the site itself. From gathering the raw material to the finished thing, we have kept widening what can be delivered without putting another vendor in the middle.

  • 01

    Articles

Planning, structure, writing and internal links. Written separately for English and Japanese readers, because they are not the same reader.

  • 02

    Images

Cover images, diagrams and banners, generated to match the piece they sit in. Where it matters, a person goes in and fixes them.

  • 03

    Video

Script, voiceover, music and subtitles are all generated, then finished in Premiere Pro. Faceless explainers and service videos.

  • 04

    Websites

Design, build, and the changes that come after launch. This site is built and run exactly that way.

// Video is generated from the script through to music and subtitles, then finished in Premiere Pro before delivery

Skill

( the tools, and how far each one goes )

What we are weak at
is written down too.

Deep engineering is not our strength. In exchange, the line between what AI is handed and what a person decides is drawn clearly. Honest stars are easier to brief against than generous ones.

AI and video

The core of the work now. This is where we differ from an agency.

  • Claude Code

The engine behind everything: building and changing sites, and writing, publishing and analysing articles. This site itself was designed, built and is published through Claude Code.

  • Premiere Pro

Editing through to export, including AI-generated footage, voiceover and music. Captions, pacing and burnt-in subtitles are all handled here.

  • Codex

Used alongside Claude Code to get a second model’s take on an implementation, or to review code that has already been written with a different pair of eyes.

Direction and design

Deciding what to build. Everything that happens before AI is handed anything.

  • SEO

Keyword selection tied to where the enquiry actually happens, then titles and outlines along the customer journey. Analysis in Analytics, Search Console and Ahrefs.

  • Figma

From polished wireframes to prototypes you can click through and judge. Manuals and client documents are built in Figma too.

  • WordPress

Building a theme from scratch is possible, but by default we stay within what an existing theme can be customised to do.

  • Photoshop

Less about designing interface parts, more about banners and the everyday image retouching a site needs.

  • Illustrator

Same territory as Photoshop: banners and straightforward artwork adjustments.

  • XD

Used for wireframes and mock-ups while a site is being worked out.

  • HTML5 / CSS3

Comfortable with straightforward markup. Setups built around Sass and heavy build tooling are not our strong point.

  • JavaScript

Placing a template and changing values in it, no more than that. The work is deliberately arranged so AI covers this part.

FEATURE — 補助金ポータル

A portal covering public subsidies and grants for Japanese businesses. It launched on a custom WordPress theme, reached 100,000 page views within six months, and as enquiries grew it was migrated to Laravel in stages to support member accounts and a far heavier search. The hosting moved at the same time, from shared hosting to AWS (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache and the rest).

Traffic was built on SEO, with paid search tested at roughly ¥300,000 a month. The conversion point was demanding, so the on-paper CVR sat around 12%, but the real conversion rate behind it was low and the budget went back into SEO. Writing alongside the writers and briefing them on each round took it to three million page views a month; it now runs at around one million on average.
