What this site does
An Austrian castle restaurant that splits its first screen into two doors — dining and culture — and opens a date picker straight from the booking button.

Notes
What you see
The first screen is a beige panel with a line drawing of the castle in the middle. On the left, "ESSEN BEIM STÖHR" (dining with the Stöhr family) with buttons to the restaurant and to book; on the right, "KULTUR IM SCHLOSS" (culture at the castle) with a button to the events page. Pressing "Reservieren" opens a booking calendar on the same page.
Every page ends with opening hours by day and a newsletter sign-up. The restaurant page offers lunch and dinner menus to download and lists guide ratings such as Gault Millau and Falstaff; the contact page gives separate email addresses for the restaurant and for cultural events.
What to take from it
When a business serves two quite different purposes, splitting the first screen into two equal doors lets each visitor choose their path with one click.
A booking button that opens a date picker in place, rather than sending people to a contact page, removes a step. Opening hours at the foot of every page answer the most common question before anyone has to look for it.
