Notes
What you see
The first screen is the company name set very large and one sentence: “Main contracting, architectural joinery and interior design since 1947.” Below it is a photograph of a long dining table under a timber ceiling.
Case studies, the journal, joinery at Aldourie Castle, a house on the Dornoch Firth and the Edinburgh workshop follow as large photographs, staggered left and right, each with a short heading. Near the end, the firm lists its memberships of two built-heritage organisations and its support for a tree-planting charity. The “Enquire” section explains that much of its work is confidential, so only a small selection is shown, and invites people to arrange a private appointment to see more.
What to take from it
One sentence with the scope of work and the founding year tells visitors what they can ask for and how long the firm has been doing it.
If client confidentiality limits what you can publish, saying so turns a thin portfolio into a reason to meet. Note that the phone number and email in the footer are plain text rather than tap-to-call or mail links.
