Editor's note

What this site does

A London contemporary art gallery whose home page shows only what is on now, with dates and venue, and whose footer lists opening hours and maps for all three spaces.

Notes

What you see

The home page is a full-screen slideshow of the exhibitions currently open. Each slide sets the title, the dates (for example “13.10 – 27.10 2026”) and the venue in large type over a photo of the room. The header holds only Menu, the logo and Search.

The footer lists the three spaces — Maddox Street and Swallow Street in London, and Mildenhall in Wiltshire — each with its address, opening days and hours, and a map link, followed by email, phone and a newsletter sign-up. Enquiries about works go through an “Enquire” panel that asks only for an email address; a member of the sales team then gets in touch.

What to take from it

Visitors want to know what is on, until when and where. Putting just that on the home page answers the question before anything else.

When a business has several locations with different hours, listing each one separately, with a map link, saves people from turning up on the wrong day.
