What this site does

An English shoemaker whose online store leads with its original creeper and links from the footer to its factory process and a repair service.

What you see

The logo reads "Est. 1906" and the headline further down reads "The Original Creeper. Since 1949." The first screen splits in two: on the left, the logo, the collaboration "BEAMS x Lavenham x George Cox" and a black button; on the right, the yellow collaboration artwork. A strip at the top offers free shipping to the visitor's country.

Products with names and prices follow, then the creeper section and entry points for accessories, collaborations, men, women and all creepers, laid out on a grid. The footer leads to a process page (clicking, closing, lasting and welt sewing, with photos), a repair service, a stockist list, a size guide, and a country and language selector that includes Japanese.

What to take from it

Putting the founding year in the logo and the year of the signature product in a headline tells two histories at once.

A page on how the shoes are made explains the price. The repair page goes further: send photos for a free assessment, get a green, amber or red answer, and see the sole replacement price for the UK, EU and US — looking after the product after the sale is part of the brand.
