What you see
A Dutch-language site for a single holiday home in Beaumont-du-Périgord. The first screen is a looping film of the house, garden and pool, some of it from the air. The header keeps a short welcome line and two buttons — Boeken (book) and Menu — on screen at all times.
Below the film, a label reading "Familie Noteboom" introduces the owners: a photo of the couple under the heading "We fell in love with the French Dordogne", and a few lines on how years of family holidays in France led them to buy the house. Then come 25 guest reviews, each with a name, the month of the stay and a score, and finally "Book your holiday directly here": a two-month calendar with three steps shown above it — choose dates, enter details, confirm.
What to take from it
With a whole-house rental, guests want to know whose house it is. Putting the owners' faces and story ahead of the facilities answers that before it becomes a doubt.
The reviews do the descriptive work — the pool, the walk to the supermarket, room for two families — in guests' own words, with dates running from 2020 to 2025. And because the calendar sits on the same page, the moment someone decides is the moment they can pick dates.
