Editor's note

What this site does

A Berlin furniture brand that lets its name and one photograph carry the home page, and puts a starting price, sizes, a product sheet and a request button on each product page.

What you see

The home page is the word "BANNACH" across the full width of the screen and a photograph of a blue table. "MENU" and the EN / DE switch sit as small text over the photo. A short introduction, a slider of furniture photographs and the six collections follow.

Each product page gives a starting price — "From € 4,580.00" for the Elio table — the available sizes, a note that colours can be chosen freely, a downloadable product sheet and a "Send a request" button that opens an email to sales. The Press page collects article excerpts and magazine pages, from AD and Elle Decoration to British Vogue, by year.

What to take from it

When the product is the message, the home page can be almost empty. The work happens on the product page: a "from" price lets people check their budget before they write, and the product sheet answers the technical questions.

Showing press coverage as the actual magazine pages lets a young brand borrow the credibility of others instead of praising itself.
