What this site does

A US recruitment firm that sums up its record in three numbers, narrows itself to four specialisms and names every partner, turning a small team into the selling point.

What you see

The header stays fixed with the time in New York and Los Angeles, links to About, Clients, Testimonials and Team, and a black "Contact" button. The first screen is a large "Aspen" wordmark on a grid of halftone images, a line saying it has placed engineers and researchers "since 2006", a "Start a conversation" button and logos of recent hires' employers.

Below: three numbers (500+ placements since 2006, recent offers of $1M–5M, 19+ years), four specialisms each with tags for the roles it covers, six clients labelled by field, a testimonial, and the founder and six partners by name and title under the line "who you'll actually work with".

What to take from it

Three numbers — count, value, years — do the work of a long track-record page.

Saying exactly what you do, down to the roles, attracts the right clients. And for a small firm, naming everyone and promising that the person you first speak to runs the job to the end turns size into a reason to choose you.
